Timelines TV

Launched in 2009, Timelines.tv is an on-line history resource offering a wealth of free-to-view documentary content, aimed primarily at a UK schools audience. Arranged on interactive timelines, the video content offers immersive journeys through a thousand years of British history, from the medieval world to the miner's strike.

In 2010, a new medical timeline was added, "Smallpox through Time", commissioned by the Wellcome Trust. This new content won the site the 2010 Bafta award for best educational resource.

The site has a dedicated following in schools in the UK and abroad. New content - and a premium access revision site - is in development.

The site was developed by Andrew Chater and Paul Trainor of Trainor Davies Design.
